Hidden in the deep gorges just north of Hornsby, is Berowra Waters. This southern tributary of the Hawksbury River, offers some of the best paddling and scenery to be found around Sydney. Launching from the marina at Dusthole Bay, we will paddle up stream past mangrove forests to Crosslands/Rocky Fall Rapids and back again with the outward tide. Total distance is approximately 10 km and will take about 2.5 hrs.
To get to the marina, take the Berowra Water Road turn off from Berowra (on the old Pacific Hwy) and follow the road all the way to the car ferry that will take you across the creek to the marina. Alternatively, you can come via Galston Rd, Asquith that winds through Galston Gorge and follow the sings to Dusthole Bay
Be sure to bring a wide brim hat and sun block out, as well as footwear that can get wet as rock oysters are everywhere and offer a contestant treat to bare feet.
