Houseboat Hijinks on the Hawksbury
We're busier, more connected, and more stressed than ever. That bloody mobile never stops vibrating, but did you ever want to feel disconnected for a weekend? Camping not quite your thing? Well, we have an amazing weekend planned along the Hawkesbury and all you need to do is turn up and turn off the gadgets.
3 Days / 2 nights - Friday arvo to Sunday arvo - your host will meet you at the marina and bring you aboard our wonderful 12-berth Elite Vessel. Find your bed, find your way around the ship, and then find your zen! We will head out and cruise up the Hawkesbury (or explore the serenity of Berowra Waters) where you can just chill with a small and caring group of LGBTQ folks. Snuggle with a good read, unwind over a board game, or maybe even fish if that's your thing.
There are 8 single bunks and 2 double sofa beds on board. That's plenty of room to lay down, and we have all the creature comforts we need.
Your host is here to take care of your every need - including the luxuries and foodstuffs. Every afternoon we'll come together for selected cheeses and bubbles, then we will ignite the BBQ and grill you a feast! Friday evening offers all the wine and beer to wash off the work-life stress and set this amazing getaway off on the right bow. Don't forget your camera - that sunset signals the true beginning of the Hawkesbury Hijinks.
But wait there's more we have board games, music and trivia all to top off a great night.
Wake each morning to a fully cooked breakfast of bacon, eggs, and toast (although we are certainly able to take care of any dietary requirements so please just ask!). Rest assured we will brew endless cups of fresh French Press coffee and tea. After capturing the sunrise on film (or flash memory), we will travel up further on the Hawkesbury and find a great place swimming hole and have a grand ol' time. A plethora of snacks and sandwiches to graze on wards off hunger for a light lunch. More beer, wine, and cheese for the Saturday afternoon kicks off another spectacular evening before firing up the grill for our final night.
Sunday afternoon, we will moor in the marina and let you off to return to your busy lives and begin the countdown of 3 months' time when we can go and do it all again.
Either drive to the Marina where there is a private car park while we're floating along, or catch the train to Hawkesbury River Station where it's just a short walk to the marina to join our weekend of majestic fun. This fabulous care-free weekend away is all for $499pp.
As there are only 10 spots available it will be first in best dressed.
