WORKSHOP INFORMATION

This is a one day introductory workshop for Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists and is a requirement prior to applying to become a SWEP prescriber. In addition to addressing SWEP requirements for Green prescribers and clinical considerations when prescribing assistive technology, it is also a CPD activity in respect to AHPRA registration.

The workshop covers the following:

  • SWEP expectations of Green prescribers
  • SWEP tools/documents needed for prescription and how to navigate the SWEP website
  • An overview of available assistive technology for Green prescribers
  • Clinical reasoning & decision making that underpin equipment prescription
  • How to submit a SWEP application and write a clinical justification

The workshops will be presented by an experience SWEP Clinical Advisor and Peter Wiseman. These workshops will be

informative, interactive and practical and will include trial and prescription of equipment using a range of case studies.

Date/time: Friday, 21st July 2017 (Registration from 9.15am)

Cost: $365 (includes GST) or $295 (includes GST & $70 SWEP discount for new graduates who completed their final year of study in 2016).

Catering: Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

CQU reserves the right to cancel or postpone any workshop. In the circumstances where this is required, registration fees will be refunded in full. CQU bears no responsibility for any other costs incurred, including loss of income, travel or accommodation expenses.

If you are unable to attend a workshop after you have registered and paid, a full refund will be provided if CQU is notified in writing 7 days prior to the scheduled workshop. Please note we are unable to provide a refund after this time.
