EVENT CINEMAS GEORGE STREET
Culture Vulture - Queerscreen - The Pass

Queer Screen is proud to present the 24th Mardi Gras Film Festival. The festival will showcase a wide range of passionate LGBTIQ cinema, both contemporary and classical, and from all corners of the globe.

First, we will be meeting for introductions and drinks at 6pm (SMS on the day advises location) for those that can make it. If not, no worries :)

Pending on movie session times will dictate if we have dinner prior or after the movie. Generally session times are released a week prior to the event, so check this space for times.
In most cases we attend sessions 6.30pm – 8.00pm

The plot : What is the value of inspiring love and devotion for legions of fans if it prevents you from being with the one you love? Fresh from opening queer film festivals in London and New York, this high-octane, British drama stars a buff (and often naked) Russell Tovey. John Donnelly’s screenplay explores the blurred boundary between hypermasculinity and homoerotic tension, where two young soccer players’ lives diverge after a fateful kiss in a hotel room one night. Don’t be fooled by the underwear picture, this film packs a serious punch.

How Much: $19 + booking fee

Note: This does not include drinks or dinner, just the movie

Driving in? There is parking behind Event Cinema on Kent St for $13 for the night.
