Join Gay4Play for our monthly adventures exploring the waterways and hidden river systems that are in abundance in this beautiful city we call home. We have long and short paddles, limited single kayaks as well as doubles with the same fun and games we always have.

Next stop on the calendar is the Woronora River.

It’s been over 4.5 years since we explored this little gem so here’s your chance to see gorgeous Woronora River. From the local canoe club, we’ll paddle to Prince Edward Park and stop for a break at a riverside camping area (we are usually the only ones there)! Lots of sandy beaches and quaint houses to see. Then into the Woronora Reserve – look out for the Sea Eagles. We will stop at The Needles, a secluded spot for swimming, walking or just chilling out depending on the weather. The local lads often put on a show swinging out on a rope to plunge into the water. Leisurely paddle back. Easy/med.

Meet at 9.45 at the Boat Shed in Woronora and be ready to hit the water at 10:00.

MESSAGE US DIRECTLY IF YOU NEED TRANSPORT AND WE WILL HELP GET YOU THERE.

After getting back we will fire up the BBQ and have a casual lunch with post paddle beers. Each month we like to change it up between burgers, schnitzels, sausage sizzles and the like. Any other dietary requirements can be taken care of. Just note it when you book your ticket.

**PLEASE NOTE: This is an event that has a number of complications including changing weather, peoples level of fitness and traffic changes. We try to stay as on time as possible but we may leave a little late or get back a little later. Our time frames cannot be hard and fast so please allow extra time when booking.
