With over 250 million record sales worldwide, British pop singer Sir Cliff Richard dominated the music scene in the pre- Beatles period of the 50s and 60s. Whilst his backing band and instrumental rock group, The Shadows were at the forefront of the UK beat-group boom!
English pop singer Dusty Springfields’ sensual mezzo-soprano sound sent her career soaring from the late 1950’s to 1990’s.
With a focus on Cliff Richard in the early years, you will hear songs like Move It, The Young Ones, Living Doll, Summer Holiday, Congratulations and many more. Plus, classic Dusty songs including Son of a Preacher Man, You Don’t have to Say You Love me, I Only Wanna Be We You, Wishin’ and Hopin’ and Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.
This production features the members of Akinga with Sam Pulman performing the songs of Cliff Richard and also plays those fantastic songs of The Shadows with that unmistakable sound of Hank Marvin. Bonnie Kellett plays the role of Dusty Springfield and the show is supported by a live band of great musicians.
