Overview:
Kids and their families* will get to know the charlatans, rogues, thieves and cut-throats that once populated Cockatoo Island, with our Crooked Characters Tour.
This 60-minute guided tour, available during the NSW School Holidays, will take families on a hilarious and fascinating journey through the island’s colonial history. Our guides – master storytellers that they are – will tell tales and sing songs that vividly bring to life a colourful cast of real-life characters, from petty criminals through to notorious bushrangers and true-blue ruffians. Good old-fashioned fun is guaranteed!
*Note: This tour has been designed for children with supervision by adults.
Cost: $12 general admission & $5 for children 12 years and under
Dates & times: Sunday during the school holidays
Meeting Point: Meet at the campground firepit. This tour also visits the Convict Precinct on the upper Island.
