Ignite the Light! Closing FIRE Ceremony

THE FINAL HURRAH!

Celebrate with us all as as IGNITE THE LIGHT - the closing event of the Bay of Fires Winter Arts Festival, 2017.

Georges Bay will be lit by fire torches - and this is where you can be part of the dramatic imagery. Particpation fees apply to secure your place in the fire line! On the night, you will, in a domino effect, light flame torches (provided) to provide amazing video and drone footage for media and publishing purposes. It will all culminating with the lighting of our fire pot on the lawn in front of Tidal Waters. Participation fee includes provision of all safety and equipment required, these remain the property of Bay of Fires Winter Arts Festival.

Stay for a chat around the fire or head inside for a chat around the log fires inside at Tidal Waters.

The torches will commence being lit upon dark, which we expect to be around 5:15pm. Fire torch participants NEED TO BE IN ATTENDANCE by 4pm as there will be a safety briefing that is a requirement for ALL participants. Children under 13 are encouraged to participate, however, they must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

TORCH HOLDERS MUST PURCHASE TICKETS PRIOR TO THE NIGHT DUE TO SAFETY AND PLANNING REQUIREMENTS. A refund of $5 per participant will be available if the event must be cancelled due to dangerous weather conditions.

The general public are warmly invited to come and view as we IGNITE THE NIGHT, this ticket is to secure you as being a torch holder and to cover the cost of fire training and safety equipment. Entry is free for non participants!

 

The ceremony will begin at dark. However partipants MUST be in attenance by 4pm to complete safety briefing and fire handling instruction.
