Nocturnal Tapes are excited to unveil their headline East Coast tour dates and new single ‘All I Need’, the follow on from their critically adored debut EP ‘Visions IV’ - recorded and produced by the duo themselves at their home studio and mixed by Adrian Breakspear (Gang of Youths, Cosmos Midnight, Kučka).
‘All I Need’ is a dreamy melting pot of dance, electronica, and psychedelia. Glimmering with walls of synth, subtle yet apt percussion and the mesmerising vocals of Harry Suttor, the eclectic track gradually ascends into its soaring and infectious chorus. Dynamics and structure float elegantly, melding together a meticulously composed piece of indie-pop.
Front man Suttor describes the motivation behind the track:
“All I Need is about the pressure I had previously put on myself to become successful and the breakthrough moment when I realised that I already have everything I need; everything else is just a bonus. I try to remind myself of this everyday as I find that this unnecessary pressure I used to put on myself, just clouds judgement and creativity”.
Since its release, their debut EP ‘Visions IV’ has received outstanding support, with Tone Deaf stating it as “one of the strongest debut EP’s of the year” and Acid Stag remarking “An impressive five-track collection of tunes that will have you swinging your hips and fist punching the air all the way through”.
Previous single ‘Wake Up’ was supported by triple j, MTV, community radio and a slew of worldwide tastemaker blogs; which resulted in a #6 position on the esteemed Hype Machine Now charts.
Following on from a national tour alongside Luke Million and fellow rising star Mookhi, the band announce their headline East Coast run, which will see them perform seven shows across QLD, NSW and ACT.
‘All I Need’ is available now via Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes and all other good digital retailers
